Welcome to Your Clear Aligner Journey
Really simple and fun instructions for kids here

Congratulations on starting your path to a healthier, more confident smile with Clear Aligners Direct. To ensure a smooth and effective treatment, please follow the guidelines below.
🦷 Quick Summary: Clear Aligners Direct Instructions
- Receiving Your Aligners: We mostly start with aligners that don’t require attachments. As treatment progresses, templates will be provided for your local dentist to place necessary attachments.
- Wearing Your Aligners: Wear them for at least 22 hours daily, removing only for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing. Use your fingers to insert and remove them gently.
- Using Chewies: Use chewies 2–3 times a day, especially in areas where there’s a small gap between the aligner and your teeth. If you have very sharp areas do not use the chewy in this area as the printed aligners are not as strong as the traditional thermoformed aligners.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Rinse with cool water and brush gently with a soft toothbrush. Avoid toothpaste but liquid soap is great. Store aligners in a case when not in use to prevent damage.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly send photos to assess fit and progress. Don’t move to the next aligner if there’s a gap between the aligner and your teeth.
- Dental Visits: Some stages may require in-office procedures like attachments or updated scans. You’ll be informed in advance to schedule with your local dentist.
- General Tips: Maintain excellent oral hygiene, remove aligners when consuming anything other than water, and adhere to the prescribed schedule for optimal results.
- Always let us know when you’re down to your last 3rd aligner.
- Keep your last set of aligners you never know when you may need them. Don’t ever throw them away.
- What if I grind my teeth heavily? You must let us know immediately if you are a major grinder (bruxism). We have found that the advanced Graphy printed material is more susceptible to breaking under the intense pressure of heavy grinding. In these specific cases, it is often safer and more effective to stick with traditional thermoformed aligners, which are better suited to withstand those forces.
